Winter Masks For Every Skin Type
In winter our skin needs extra care, since the cold weather isn’t very good for it. Masks made from fruits and berries are perhaps one of the best ways to take care of your skin in winter, because they are rich with vitamins and minerals and have purifying and whitening effects. And the best thing is that they are suitable for every skin type.
Here are some recipes of homemade face masks, made of fruits and berries that are available in winter. These masks will be great for your skin during the winter cold.
• Orange Mask. Ripe oranges, because of their moisturizing and nourishing effect, are good for any type of skin. Just slice an orange and put the slices on your face. Keep them for some 10-15 minutes, than wash your face with warm water.
Be careful–if you are allergic to citrus fruits, this mask is not for you.
• Banana mask. Banana is very good especially for dry skin, because it has moisturizing and softening effect. Just squash a banana and apply it to your face. This “mask” will also smooth your wrinkles. Banana isn’t a very allergy causing fruit, so you probably won’t experience any problems if you use it.
• Cranberry Mask. Cranberries are rich with vitamins, so they nourish your facial skin. Mix a teaspoon-cranberry juice with a teaspoon potato flour and add an egg-white. Apply the mask on your face and wash it after 15 minutes. This mask is especially good for normal skin.
• Apple Masks. Apples are rich with vitamins and minerals that refresh, rejuvenate and nourish your skin. They also have cleansing and smoothing effects. Apple masks are good for every skin type, but it’s especially good for wrinkled skin. Peel an apple, grate it, then add some milk. Warm this mixture up and apply it on your face. Wash the mask after 20 minutes with cold water. Don’t forget to apply a softening face cream!
A mixture of an apple and wild strawberries or an apple with vegetable oil will also be very good for your skin.
Choose the most suitable mask for your skin and use it one to two times a week. It will help your skin endure the winter cold so that you remain fresh and beautiful.
